Who is Jim Vogt

Located in Pewaukee, Wisconsin I’ve worked outdoors my whole life.  My background includes logging, Electric company Lineman,Construction management, Business consulting, Log cabin building, Barn raising and just about anything else that involves nature and the outdoors.  In 2004, I bought a portable sawmill to build a cabin in Northern Wisconsin, sawing the lumber off land we own up there.  At the time, I was looking for something to do when I retire.  Well, this was it,  I had a mill, some equipment and a developing supply of wood.  I began sawing logs for people as well as myself and selling lumber. I started to build furniture and accent pieces for my family, and before I knew it, I was building pieces for others as well.  I now split my time between sawing and building custom furniture and accent pieces
